For many people detained under immigration powers, our helpline is the first point of call for free legal advice. And, last year we received over 7,000 calls from people speaking more than 25 languages.

The Home Office rarely translate detention and deportation decisions, so when people contact BID’s advice line, it is often the first time that people are able to understand their situation and their rights.

Language should never be a barrier to justice. That's why we're taking part in the Big Give to raise funds for translators.

All donations made between now and 5th December will be doubled. Give now and have twice the impact!
