Bail for Immigration Detainees submitted their response to the National Audit Office's (NAO) consultation. The NAO wanted to hear from legal professionals, and those who provide advice to individuals with legal issues, about their experience of the legal aid sector and the impact of the implementation of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012’.

BID also submitted a response to the Ministry of Justice consultation on Legal Aid Fees in the Illegal Migration Bill. The consultation was aimed at anyone with an interest in the provision of immigration and asylum legal aid, specifically, the work impacted by the Home Office’s Illegal Migration Bill. This includes, but is not limited to, members of the legal profession and their professional representative bodies, and legal services regulators.
