BID is a leading human rights charity challenging immigration detention in the UK through the provision of free legal advice and representation to detained asylum seekers and migrants.

Since our inception in 1998 we have assisted over 46,000 individuals and played a leading role in documenting and challenging the injustices of immigration detention.

BID’s clients face structural racism, poor access to justice, stigmatisation, the loss of their liberty and the threat of deportation. Your role will be to empower these individuals to exercise their human rights.

We are hiring for two Immigration Caseworker positions, one for an accredited immigration lawyer and the other for an accredited/or an aspiring, to be accredited (while in post) lawyer.

This is a great opportunity to help us at a time when human rights and the rights of people held under immigration powers are under increasing attack. Your work will get people out of detention and will contribute to the development of our policy work, and the challenge of ending the use of immigration detention.

The closing date for applications is 10pm on 31st July 2022.

Application pack - Role 2: Immigration Solicitor/Caseworker (£29,000 - £32,531 depending on experience & accreditation)
