On the 19th March 2020 while the country woke to rising panic about Covid-19, news broke that the much anticipated ‘Windrush Lessons Learned Review’ had been published. The report is a damning and thorough investigation into the terrible injustices suffered by hundreds of black British people at the hands of the Home Office.

It traces the roots of the scandal over nearly seven decades of policy and legislation which, when compounded with the introduction of the hostile environment in 2012, “institutional ignorance”, immigration targets and a culture of disbelief within the Home Office, led to the wrongful penalisation, detention and deportation of hundreds of people.

The timing of the report was unfortunate but its message is too important to get forgotten.  With a new Immigration Bill currently underway, it is essential that the findings of this report are implemented and that those affected secure justice.

Join us online at 6pm on the 7th May as our expert panel come together to discuss the root causes of the scandal and how they manifest today, the recommendations of the report and what needs to happen for us to move forward.
Join us at 6pm on the 7th May to hear from:
