Get involved, volunteer, join, donate...

The number of places in immigration detention is due to increase and the numbers needing our assistance are growing. Please get involved and support our work.

BID is the only charity that exists to provide a free bail service to detainees, and by keeping our costs to a minimum we make the most of any support we receive. BID does not receive government funding to carry out our work; we are supported by charitable trusts, individual donors and membership fees. We also rely on the generous contribution of time from volunteers who are trained to prepare the bail applications and also support the organisation's finance and administration needs.

Make a donation to BID

All donations help us fund the core costs of our work and enable us to make more bail applications on behalf of asylum seekers who are detained. If you want to make a donation, please contact thirukesh@biduk.org or download the membership form here and join the organisation. We regret that we are not able to accept credit card donations.

Volunteer

BID could not function without the support and commitment of volunteers; in case-work in the office, in court and in administration. We offer training and experience, and in return ask that people commit to a certain length of time, during office hours (Monday to Friday). Reasonable travel expenses are payable. To view more detailed information about volunteering at BID London, click HERE.
